La Quinta Cove Family Photography – Joyful Outdoor Sessions in the Coachella Valley

Oh my goodness, the cuteness (and chaos) going on here is off the charts! So Jessica contacted me wanting her family photos somewhere in the desert and she was adamant she wanted that gorgeous golden hour light. So we agree that the cove in La Quinta was the perfect spot. The kiddos could run around and be safe and we could throw in a few photos here and there. LOL!

So I just want to point out that I mentioned “chaos” above. This is not a negative comment… I LOVE the chaos. Bring me all of your family chaos. I personally find the chaos wonderful and REAL. Those of you who have young children KNOW that its virtually impossible to get everyone looking at the camera at the same time and I for one don’t mind! I find the “imperfections” perfect. See, I want to document your family as it is. Not a curated, photoshop version of it, but the REAL you.

You’ll notice that I’m showing a mix of “perfect” photos as well as some of the nutty and chaotic ones. Thats because they are ALL perfect. They are ALL a record of your family in this moment in time.

Just to wrap up… if I photograph your family and you apologize to me because your kiddos had a meltdown, I will tell you in no uncertain terms to stop it. I love to document your babies no matter which version of themselves they bring that day. Embrace it, you are going to treasure those photos in the years to come. They grow up and become different so very quickly, don’t be in hurry and for goodness sake… DO NOT APOLOGIZE!!
