This is little I dig more than that low afternoon sun in Joshua Tree. Its so dramatic! Harsh yes, but I’ve always kind of thrived on the challenge of making lovely, meaningful photographs in that kind of light. Its what we have here in the desert, so you either embrace it and master it, or you fight against it… I decided a long time ago to make it my friend.
This maternity session was photographed in the cholla field inside Joshua Tree National Monument.
(chollas and toddlers, what could possibly go wrong? LOL!)
Jazlyn and her sweetie Bryce were expecting their second baby and Jazlyn suggested we head out to the cholla field… I had never been so I was excited to check it out!
