The charm and sweetness of a backyard wedding cannot be understated. I truly adore when couples choose to say their I do’s in the privacy of a small, intimate backyard ceremony and celebration. This couple from Palm Springs did just that and I think it deserves to be a two part blog post because I love it so much!

They received their guests together, so we didn’t have to worry about the bride being seen. This makes it that much more special, because then she is a part of these wonderful beginning moments of the couples entire celebration. So often the bride is not included in this part of the coverage simply because she is “in hiding”. While I love that tradition, there is something truly inclusive about being fully present for the entire event, beginning to end.

Palm Spring sure does offer some wonderful options for small venues/backyards if you decide this type of wedding is right for you. I highly recommend hiring a wedding planner to help you navigate all the various options, from the perfect venue to a caterer to your decor. Sometimes couples underestimate how many little details and moving parts there are on the wedding day, even when its a small backyard wedding. You don’t want to be stressed out and worried about details when you could be relaxed and FULLY present in the moment with your friends and family. Someone like Jessica of Bee Loved Events can guide you through all the planning and execution details.
